I love your idea and sharing! My direct experience was suggesting to setup a similar service.
However, in my former big industrial company I could only use the tools they were providing. They limited the access or download and use of external softwares, to prevent data leakage against competitors.
How would you deal with that?
I imagine their data passing through AI, Zapier, Bubble, etc.
What are your thoughts about data privacy and safety of these tools?
I had this same thought and it will definitely be a blocker for some companies. Others not so much. A lot of tools use APIs to connect services, which is effectively what is happening if you're using Zapier.
I suspect it will just mean a lower conversion rate with sales, but you only need a few clients to be successful with this model
Great example of a simple concept, but targeted to a niche that is most likely running on legacy tech.
Do you have a system for picking these 'niches' within the construction sector, or finding potential clients? It's daunting to start from zero and just think 'automation for construction'... Questions that come to mind: "which construction businesses, at what point in their process (e.g. their sales process, jobsite work, internal systems, etc)?"
I'd imagine the above is a bit of analysis paralysis, and you probably just have to cold contact these businesses to see what they might need. Just wondering if you have a method for analyzing a niche & opportunity before building a targeted solution.
Very good point and it's a difficult one to balance I think. My approach is that I start with a guess at what the best market would be and then speak to people within that market as quickly as possible and learn more from them and that unearths more ideas and better targeting
Thank you for sharing. This is gold.
